BUTCH CASSIDY: Once they divide up, we take them, no trouble, right? SUNDANCE KID: Maybe. BUTCH CASSIDY: Boy, for a gunman, you’re one hell of a pessimist.

BUTCH CASSIDY: Do you believe I’m broke already? ETTA PLACE: Why is there never any money, Butch? BUTCH CASSIDY: Well, I swear, Etta, I don’t know. I’ve been working like a dog all my life and I can’t get a penny ahead. ETTA PACE: Sundance says it’s because you’re a soft touch, and always taking expensive vacations, and buying drinks for everyone, and you’re a rotten gambler. BUTCH CASSIDY: Well that might have something to do with it.

Rock Movies #5 — Diane Lane and Michael Paré in a poster for Walter Hill’s 1984 film Streets of Fire. I’ve always thought it was a weird and compelling movie. At the time of its release, it was both retro and MTV-inspired. Full of memorable supporting turns by Rick Moranis, Amy Madigan, Willem Dafoe, and Bill Paxton. And if you haven’t seen the movie, you might have heard the hit song it spawned.

How else can we get Charlie Sheen fans interested in westerns? Besides screening Young Guns, I mean.
